Who are we

Fabtech ID’s story begins in 1986. This was the precise moment when our offering of lockout/tagout products, accessories, and various other occupational health and safety solutions was born.

It was then marketed under the name Groupe ID. At that time, we had no idea that just 14 years later we would cross Canada’s borders.

The year 2000 marked the beginning of a whole new era: this is when we signed our first international clients. The international market finally opened its doors to us, and we were ready to compete with the giants of the time.

2014 marks an important milestone for the company, as this is when Fabtech ID became an independent company specifically dedicated to lockout products and solutions.

Groupe ID, which had both a “EHS software” division and a “lockout/tagout products” division, then split into two distinct companies: Fabtech ID and CONFORMiT.

In recent years, Fabtech ID has undergone a digital transformation to optimize its service offering and continue its expansion.

2018 marks growth for the company as it launches its e-commerce platform and signs its first partner for product distribution.
